WBA world champion in the featherweight division Nick Ball (23-0-1, 13 KOs) has learned the date of his fourth title defense. The fighter from Liverpool will perform in front of his most devoted fans at the M&S; Bank Arena on February 7, broadcast on DAZN. The Englishman will face the former world champion in a lower weight class, the mandatory challenger for his title Brandon Figueroa (26-2-1, 19 KOs), a popular contender abroad. And knowing the styles of both boxers, you can expect a spark to fly in the ring.

Since his victory over Raymond Ford in June 2024 in Riyadh, the 28-year-old Ball has successfully defended his title against Ronnie Rios, T.J. Doheny, and most recently, Sam Goodman, maintaining his undefeated champion status. This event will be his third world championship fight in his hometown of Liverpool.

The 28-year-old Figueroa can already boast world championship titles in two weight categories: in 2020, he won the WBA super featherweight belt by defeating Damien Vazquez, and the following year he added the WBC championship by knocking out Luis Nery.

Figueroa lost his belts by majority decision to Stephen Fulton before moving up to featherweight and becoming the interim WBC world champion by decision over Mark Magsayo in 2023. He suffered a second points loss to Fulton in February but managed to return to the winning path by defeating Joet Gonzalez in July.
