UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili stated that he plans to defeat Petr Yan early in the upcoming rematch.
The fight will headline UFC 323, which will take place on the night of December 7 in Las Vegas, USA.
"This time I will be much better at ground control... I have become much better as a fighter. I'm sure he will be better prepared, but my goal is to finish him, whether it's standing or on the ground. It might be a technical knockout. That's my goal. We'll see, it's a fight, I respect Petr Yan as a fighter, he's a killer, so who knows, he can knock me out too," Dvalishvili said in an interview with Daniel Cormier's YouTube channel.
Recall that the first fight between Dvalishvili and Yan took place in March 2023. The Georgian fighter won by unanimous decision.
