Famous British promoter Eddie Hearn supported the WBC in the conflict situation with unified world champion in the second middleweight, Terence Crawford.
Earlier, the organization stripped Crawford of its title because he did not pay them fees for his last two fights. In response, "Bud" sharply criticized the WBC and its president Mauricio Sulaiman.
Hearn believes that in this case, the truth is on the side of the WBC.
"You boasted about your absolute championship, but part of it is the WBC belt. You can't own titles, parade around with them, and not pay your dues. Do I think $300,000 is a lot of money? Yes, I do. But Mauricio Sulaiman will say that at the same time Crawford earned 40 million. Is that a big amount? Yes, it is. But there are rules. If you don't want to pay this bill first and foremost, then don't fight for the title of absolute champion," said Hearn.
