Brandon Royval, a former UFC flyweight title challenger, spoke out against the promotion's tournament at the White House.
“I'm not interested in fights at the White House. I want to fight in front of a big crowd, and fighting in front of a bunch of politicians is some kind of 'Hunger Games' and just a circus. I'm not interested in fighting in front of a bunch of billionaires who basically don't care about me and will sit and place bets. I want to fight in front of people, real MMA fans who can relate to me! Plus, I look too Mexican. Immigration police usually arrest people like that, so who knows? The next moment I might suddenly find myself in Mexico, and I don't even speak Spanish,” the American fighter said on the In The Arena MMA podcast.
