Edgar Berlanga (23-2, 18 KO) will return to the ring in the first quarter of next year in a fight against interim WBA super middleweight champion Jose Armando Resendiz (16-2, 11 KO). This was reported by Mike Coppinger, a journalist from 'The Ring'.
This will be Berlanga's first appearance since his defeat in July by Hamzah Sheeraz. The Puerto Rican has had two professional fights this year.
In his last fight, Resendiz unexpectedly won by points against Caleb Plant. In February, the Mexican returned to the ring after more than a year-long break.
