Famous American trainer Teddy Atlas believes that the undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk should fight against UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.
“Usyk does not show cracks. He takes very good care of himself. As far as we know, he has no bad habits that would somehow deteriorate his physical condition. So, there's no reason to stop doing something if you have the gift to do it better than anyone else. Do it and use this great gift. Use it fully, taking it to the final destination. Maximize it. And then leave without abusing this gift, without staying longer than you should, and without being greedy.
Usyk is like a machine. An Olympic champion who collected all the titles in cruiserweight, defeated everyone. He won titles in heavyweight. But now, as Usyk knows he is approaching the end of his career, maybe he wants to do something else beyond his usual realm.
Part of that is a fight with Alex Pereira. Pereira is not an ordinary boxer. He is a well-known name, a scary guy. He's the boogieman in his sport — in UFC, in MMA. Is there a better way to end a career?” said Atlas.
