Joseph Parker (36-4, 24 KO) feels the bitterness of defeat but doesn't give up and wants to keep fighting. He pays tribute to his opponent and hopes for a rematch. The New Zealander's Saturday defeat was unexpected for many. However, the former WBO champion is not looking for excuses, although he disagrees with the referee's decision to stop the fight in the eleventh round.

"Defeat is painful. I won't pretend to be happy, but that's life. I will return to my beloved family and see what happens next. Although all of this is difficult, I intend to continue. This is a temporary setback, and I will keep fighting. I felt good between the ropes, there's still fire in me, and I think I should show it in the next fight. However, if everything goes wrong again, it will be very hard," Parker stated.

"At the end of the fight, I thought everything was fine, but I'm not the referee. I thought everything was fine, but I got caught by a punch, and that happens in boxing. Of course, I wanted to continue the fight. Fabio Wardley is a fighter and a tough guy, congratulations to him. I hope we can have a rematch," added the 33-year-old Auckland native.
