Paro and Donovan to Contest for the Right to Fight for the IBF Title

Liam Paro (27-1, 16 KO) and Paddy Donovan (14-2, 11 KO) are set to hold a qualifying fight for the IBF world title in the welterweight division. The winner of this bout will become the official title contender.

Paro previously held the featherweight world title. The Australian fought his last two bouts in the welterweight division and last fought in September, securing a points victory over David Papot.

Donovan's last two fights were against Lewis Crocker, the current IBF champion in the 66 kg weight class. The Irishman lost his first fight by disqualification and the second by judges' decision.
