The Ortiz-Ennis fight will take place in February in Las Vegas

Eddie Hearn announced that the fight between the interim WBC champion at welterweight Virgil Ortiz (23-0, 21 KO) and former champion at welterweight Jaron Ennis (34-0, 30 KO) will take place in February in Las Vegas.

The fight was originally scheduled for the end of this year, but was ultimately postponed to the first quarter of 2026. Before that, both fighters will have one professional fight each.

Ortiz will meet Erickson Lubin on November 8 in Texas, while Ennis will return to the ring on October 11 in Philadelphia, where he will face Wisma Lima.
