Top Promoter Reveals Canelo's Biggest Threat: "He'll Steer Clear"

Canelo's been in the ring for almost two decades. He's closing in on his 70th pro fight and has won world titles in four weight classes. Right now, he's the undisputed super-middleweight champ.

Alvarez is getting ready to defend his crown against Terence 'Bud' Crawford on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It's a big fight between two of the best pound-for-pound boxers out there.

But Arum's already looking past that fight. He thinks Canelo will avoid Mbilli, the WBC interim super-middleweight champ, after facing Crawford.

"Mbilli is special, really good, really strong, a good puncher, has a great chin and a great future. He beats him. I don't think Canelo is Canelo anymore."

Arum didn't stop there. He also said David Benavidez would beat Canelo and that Crawford will likely win their upcoming fight.

The Top Rank boss thinks Canelo's looking for an easy road:

"If he beats Crawford, which I doubt, he'll look for easy fights. He'll finish his contract with Riyadh Season, make money and retire. He's not looking to take any chances."

Mbilli's making waves in the super-middleweight division. The 30-year-old Cameroonian has a perfect record of 29 wins with 24 knockouts. He just stopped Maciej Sulecki in the first round in Quebec, Canada.

At 34, Canelo's been fighting professionally since he was 15. He's faced tough opponents throughout his career. Now, we'll have to wait and see if he takes on this new challenge from the hard-hitting Mbilli.
