Derek Chisora Names Surprise Heavyweight as Oleksandr Usyk's Kryptonite: "He's Got the Style"

Chisora and Usyk faced off in October 2020. It was only Usyk's second fight at heavyweight. Chisora put up a good fight, using front-foot pressure and swinging big punches. He caused Usyk more problems than other opponents, but Usyk still won on points.

Since then, Usyk has gone on to do amazing things. He's become the first ever two-time undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era. He's beaten Anthony Joshua twice and Tyson Fury. He's also knocked out Daniel Dubois twice.

In a recent interview with IBA Boxing, Chisora was asked who could now beat Usyk. His response was simple:

"Me. I'm going work on getting the rematch."

Chisora will be 42 before the year is out. He's had 49 fights and wants to stop at 50. His last three fights have been unanimous decision wins against Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce, and Otto Wallin. Before that, Tyson Fury stopped him in December 2022.

Right now, Chisora is the IBF mandatory challenger. Some people think Usyk might have been holding back in his earlier fights to lure in belt holders. If that's true, it worked over five years.

Usyk doesn't have many challenges left in the heavyweight division. But Chisora believes he's the man for the job. We'll have to wait and see if he gets his chance.
