Manny Pacquiao isn't ready to hang up his gloves just yet. The boxing legend, who'll turn 47 in December, plans to keep fighting despite losing to Mario Barrios on July 19.
Pacquiao's advisor, Sean Gibbons, says the Filipino icon might even step into the ring on his birthday, December 17. After the Barrios fight, Pacquiao shared on social media that he still feels great in the ring, thanking his family, team, and supporters.
The loss hasn't dampened Pacquiao's spirits. He's already looking for his next opponent. A rematch with Barrios is on the table, but there are other options too.
Rolando Romero, who recently beat Ryan Garcia, has thrown his hat in the ring. The 29-year-old sees a fight with Pacquiao as his ticket to the Hall of Fame.
"I'm looking for and shooting for a fight in December... If Manny Pacquiao does want to fight me and make big money in a huge fight, then let's do it."
Ryan Garcia, despite recovering from his second surgery since 2021, also wants a piece of the action. The 26-year-old boldly claimed:
"I would dominate him. I would capitalize on Manny's mistakes better than other guys. I would knock him out like Juan Manuel Marquez - all due respect to the legend Manny, though."
Gervonta Davis is another name in the mix for Pacquiao's next fight.
Pacquiao's motivation remains high. He'll need to keep up his training to be ready for a potential December bout. With many fans still rooting for him, the boxing world waits to see who'll face the legend next.
