Two judges scored the bout 114-114, while the third gave it to Barrios with a 115-113 scorecard. Many fans and analysts felt Pacquiao had done enough to win and become the oldest world welterweight champion.

Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's long-time trainer, shared his thoughts on the fight's outcome. He said:

"We had a great fight, Manny fought very well and he even had a knockdown in there somewhere that didn't count but I thought he won the fight eight [rounds] to four but that's the way things go and we would like a rematch right away for sure."

Roach's scorecard favored Pacquiao by 8 rounds to 4, highlighting the contrast between his view and the official result.

Pacquiao's performance impressed many, considering the considerable age gap between him and his opponent. The Filipino boxer hadn't fought professionally since summer 2021 but showed up in tremendous shape for this bout.

The fight marked Pacquiao's entry into his 30th year of professional boxing. The eight-division world champion has made it clear he intends to continue his career in the ring.

Pacquiao's team will likely push for a rematch against Barrios. However, it remains to be seen whether the WBC champion will grant this request.

Fans can watch the post-fight press conference for more details on the fighters' reactions and future plans.
