Hearn named two priority opponents for Joshua

“Joshua will only fight once this year. It would be great for him to have a fight in mid-September, and then we will definitely know whether Fury will return or not. But Joshua’s opponent will depend on what happens in the Dubois - Usyk fight. I like our position in this regard. If neither of them is available, we will fight someone else.

I don’t think Fury will back out of this fight. You know what? He’s not on the decline. He is still in the prime of his powers, and it is very hard to give up a fight with Anthony Joshua when you’re still on top. Therefore, I believe that their match will take place.

If Wilder returns and looks incredible, then maybe we’ll start negotiations again. I don’t rule that out at all. It will always be an exciting fight, but definitely, we are initially focused on Fury and perhaps on Dubois if he defeats Usyk,” Hearn stated to ESPN.
