Terence Crawford has dropped a bombshell about his upcoming fight with Canelo Alvarez. The three-division undisputed champion revealed he'll get $10 million for the bout, way less than what people thought.

Crawford shared this surprising info during a chat with Ring Champs with Ak & Barak. When he said, "I got $10 million for that fight," the hosts couldn't believe it. Barak laughed, and AK accused him of joking. But Crawford shot back, "How do you know that's a lie?"

This $10 million purse is a far cry from the rumored $50 million payday. It's even more shocking when you compare it to Canelo's earnings. The Mexican superstar reportedly makes over $80 million per fight and has a four-fight, $400 million deal with Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Season boxing venture.

So why is Crawford taking such a pay cut? He made it clear it's all about leaving his mark on the sport.

"I'm doing it for the opportunity, baby. The legacy," Crawford explained. "Legacy outweigh the money."

The fight, set for September 13, 2025, is a big deal. Crawford, at 36, will move up two weight classes to face Canelo, the undisputed king at 168 pounds. If Crawford wins, he'll be the first boxer ever to be undisputed in four different weight classes.

There's a backup plan if Crawford backs out. Undefeated contender Lester Martinez could step in for a $2 million purse. But Crawford doesn't seem worried about that. He's not thinking about retirement and even hinted he might go back down to 154 pounds after this fight.

"I might go back down... and do it again!" Crawford teased.

The boxing world is buzzing about where fans will watch this epic showdown. There's talk that Netflix might broadcast it, which makes sense given their recent move into live sports with WWE's Monday Night RAW.

Crawford closed the interview with a bold statement: "Three times undisputed. Oooo.... we coming soon." It's clear he's got his eyes on the prize, and that prize isn't just money - it's a place in boxing history.
