The fight took place in Poland back in August 2023, with Usyk's unified heavyweight titles on the line. Usyk ended up winning by stoppage in the ninth round, but it's what happened in the fifth that's still got people talking.
Dubois dropped Usyk with a body shot in that round. The ref ruled it a low blow, but Dubois still says that's not right. Now Fury's weighing in, and he's not mincing words.
"I thought he lost [to Dubois] and he quit so he's a little, quitting [coward]," Fury said.
Fury thinks the knockdown should've counted for Dubois. He claims Usyk quit after taking a body shot and says the Ukrainian champion "rattled around the floor like a little [coward] for five minutes."
The outspoken boxer compared it to his own experiences with low blows:
"I've been hit full-on, right [below the belt] with the hardest punches you've ever seen, I didn't roll around like that."
Fury didn't stop there. He doubled down on his opinion, saying:
"It is what it is, you're a fighting man or you're not and if you quit once, you will always quit again. My father told me that when I was a child. If you spew it once you'll always spew it and that's the facts of the matter. End of."
It's worth noting that Fury's got some history with Usyk. The two faced off twice in 2024, with Fury losing both fights on points. He's since retired but people keep talking about him making a comeback, possibly against Anthony Joshua.
As for Dubois and Usyk, they're set for a rematch on July 19 at Wembley Stadium. This time, it's for all the marbles - the undisputed heavyweight title will be on the line.
Fury's comments have added more fuel to an already heated debate. With the rematch coming up, you can bet this won't be the last we hear about that controversial moment from their first fight.
