Carl Froch has shared his thoughts on the upcoming rematch between Johnny Fisher and Dave Allen, set for May 17. The former super-middleweight champion sees it as a close contest, giving Fisher a slight edge.

Fisher, known as "The Romford Bull," has 13 fights under his belt. He's coming off a big win, stopping Alen Babić in the first round last July. In his previous bout with Allen, Fisher won a split decision after getting knocked down, showing he's got grit.

Dave Allen has been around the block. He's faced tough guys like Dillian Whyte, Luis Ortiz, and David Price. His biggest win came against Lucas Browne. Allen retired in 2020 but came back in 2022. He made another return in December 2024.

Their first fight in December was a close one. Allen lost the early rounds but shocked everyone by knocking Fisher down. Many thought Allen should've got the nod, but Fisher won a split decision.

The rematch is set for May 17, even though Allen was advised against it at first.

Froch shared his prediction on Sporting Talk:

"That is a fight I'm looking forward to. I would say that Fisher will probably get the job done. But Dave Allen, don't write him off, he's old, not old old, but he's got experience, he's been in there with a lot of people that's got good pedigree. If he takes it seriously, he could cause an upset. It's a 50-50 fight."

Fisher needs to win to keep moving up, while Allen's experience could be key. It's a big fight for British heavyweight boxing, and fans can't wait to see how it plays out.
