Garcia got knocked down in the second round, which set the tone for the rest of the fight. This loss marks the second defeat in Garcia's career, coming as a surprise to many fans and experts.

Just last April, Garcia had scored a victory over Devin Haney. There were plans for a rematch between Garcia and Haney, but Romero's win has thrown a wrench in those plans.

After the fight, Garcia was pretty upset. He was seen crying in the car, showing how much this loss meant to him.

Romero, who won the WBA 'regular' welterweight title with this victory, had an unexpected response to Garcia's emotional reaction. In an interview with Fight Hype, he said:

"Let me just be real, real quick. with this whole like footage of Ryan crying and all this stuff, why are you guys knocking a dude for crying after he lost? He had a world title shot and he lost, I'll tell you like this, in the same f—–g van I was in, and I'm a f——g man I don't give a f–k right, ain't nobody gonna take away my damn man card, I was in the same van and I cried too because I really did this s–t, I pulled this s–t off you know I did everything I said I was gonna do man."

Romero admitted he cried too, but out of joy for pulling off such a big win. At 29, the Las Vegas native put on what many are calling his best performance to date.

For 26-year-old Garcia, from California, this loss puts his career at a crossroads. The rematch with Haney now looks unlikely to be his next fight.

This upset has shaken up the boxing world, and fans will be eager to see what's next for both fighters.
