Chris Eubank Jr Reveals Surprising Truth About Conor Benn's Power: "Not What I Expected"

The fight had plenty of drama even before the first bell. Benn moved up two weight classes for the matchup. Eubank Jr., who's fought as high as super middleweight, failed to make the middleweight limit and had to deal with a rehydration clause on fight morning. These weight issues raised questions about Eubank's durability and his famous chin.

Despite the concerns, Eubank Jr. felt in control throughout the fight. He told The Sun Sport:

"There was never a moment in the fight where I thought I was losing, I was outgunned, I was hurt."

Eubank Jr. admitted he got tired and dehydrated but pushed through it. He said:

"I pushed through that, I didn't let that stop me from completing the mission and going out on my shield. If that's what I had to do, I was willing to die in that ring. Where there was nothing left in the tank, I refused to stop."

Benn, on the other hand, believes he hurt Eubank Jr. several times during the fight. The intense battle led to Eubank Jr. spending some time in the hospital as a precaution after the match.

Talk of a rematch started right away, with September mentioned as a possible date. Benn wants the rematch to be his next fight. If not, he's considering dropping back to his natural weight class to face opponents like Devin Haney.

Benn told the Daily Mail that if the rematch doesn't happen soon, he'll look for other opportunities. With 14 knockouts in his 24 fights, all coming in the first four rounds, Benn's power could be more effective at a lower weight.

The Eubank Jr. vs Benn saga isn't over yet. With both fighters eager to prove themselves, fans can expect more fireworks if they meet in the ring again.
