Dmitry Bivol has shared his thoughts on Canelo Alvarez's recent fight against William Scull. The light-heavyweight champion, who beat Canelo in 2022, wasn't impressed with what he saw.

Canelo became undisputed super-middleweight champion for the second time with a unanimous decision win over Scull. But the fight didn't live up to expectations. Scull stayed away from Canelo for most of the 12 rounds, and Canelo struggled to cut off the ring effectively.

Bivol talked to Fight Hub TV about the underwhelming contest:

"It's not interesting to see the fight when one person doesn't want to win. Doesn't want to win at all. But, it was a hard fight for Canelo because he was always aiming. Scull didn't through punches and it's hard to catch him, you know? He's just moving. But his movement is good."

Bivol pointed out that while Scull's movement made it tough for Canelo, the lack of action made for a boring fight. He noticed that Scull didn't throw many punches, which made it hard for Canelo to land his shots.

Canelo's next fight might be a mega-clash with Terence Crawford in Las Vegas this September. But he's also made it clear he wants another shot at Bivol.

Bivol's got his own plans. He's looking at a trilogy fight with Artur Beterbiev. They've fought twice before, with Bivol losing the first and winning the second to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion. Their last fight was a close one, with Bivol edging out a decision win.
