Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez gears up for a historic bout this Saturday. The Mexican boxing star will try to become the undisputed 168-pound champion for the second time when he faces Cuban boxer William Scull.

Canelo, who first achieved this feat in 2021, could join an elite group of just six boxers worldwide who've managed to become undisputed champions twice. He'd also be the first Mexican to pull off this impressive accomplishment.

The Guadalajara-born fighter has become more than just a boxing sensation. He's branched out into business and philanthropy, all while maintaining a busy family life. When he's not in the ring, Canelo enjoys golf and horseback riding.

Canelo's path to success wasn't easy. As a teenager, he washed cars and sold popsicles to support his eldest daughter. Now, he's a father of four - three girls and a boy.

In a 2021 episode of 'Red Table Talk: The Estefans', Canelo showed his softer side when talking about raising his daughters:

"I let [my daughter] paint my nails, put eye shadow on me, do my hair and leave it a mess. But what am I going to do?"

Canelo's personal life has been as eventful as his professional one. He's currently married to Fernanda Gomez, a businesswoman and influencer from Guadalajara. The couple met at a WBO gala in 2016 and tied the knot in May 2021 at the Cathedral of Guadalajara.

Their relationship has had its ups and downs. They briefly separated, during which time Canelo dated Shannon de Lima. However, they reconciled in late 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Maria Fernanda, that same year.

Fernanda runs her own business, Fernanda Gomez Nailbar & Boutique, offering beauty services and exclusive women's clothing. She's also built a significant social media following, with over a million Instagram followers.

The couple enjoys traveling together, often jet-setting to exotic locations like Singapore, Thailand, and the Greek island of Mykonos. They've also explored Abu Dhabi, Paris, Croatia, and the Maldives.

Before Fernanda, Canelo had relationships with several women and fathered children with them. His eldest, Emily Cinnamon Alvarez, is now 18. He also has a daughter named Mia Ener with model Valeria Quiroz, and a son with Nelda Sepulveda.

As Canelo steps into the ring this Saturday, he'll be fighting not just for another title, but for his place in boxing history. His journey from a teenage father washing cars to a potential two-time undisputed champion shows the incredible path he's traveled.
