Renowned American trainer Teddy Atlas believes IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis will defeat WBA titleholder Eimantas Stanionis in their upcoming fight.
"I don't foresee Ennis having any problems with him. I see that Ennis will control the far distance. I predict he will make Stanionis pay for getting in close because Eimantas Stanionis can't win at distance. He needs to get in close and do something about Ennis.
I foresee Ennis making him pay with an uppercut, jab, making it harder for him to get close. If even Stanionis shortens the distance, Ennis knows how to fight in close. I believe he has the speed advantage. He throws short punches. He can combine power punches," Atlas said.
As a reminder, the Ennis vs. Stanionis bout will take place on April 12 in the U.S. Atlantic City.
