Claressa Shields and Jake Paul are still at odds. The Olympic gold medalist and professional boxer recently said she won't work with Paul or his MVP promotion.
This feud started after Paul beat Mike Tyson last November. Shields criticized the fight, saying she could "whip Jake Paul." She added, "People who are against that are just sexist and they don't know boxing."
Paul fired back in January on the All The Smoke Fight podcast. He called Shields a "bitter, jealous loser" and said, "No one likes her."
Now, Shields is upset about something else. She thinks Paul tried to take her "GWOAT" (Greatest Woman of All Time) title and give it to Amanda Serrano. Shields talked about this on Fight Hub TV while clearing up a marijuana charge from her February 2nd fight in Flint, Michigan.
"Jake Paul don't like me, I don't like him," Shields said. "He's never given me props since he came in the game."
Shields feels Paul disrespected her achievements. She's won Olympic gold medals and many world championships.
"He has tried to steal my name. And gave it to Amanda Serrano when I built the name up. I am the name. I have the accolades for it," Shields explained. "You're trying to come and just give her my sh*t and just say like, 'Forget me. I don't matter. She's the GWOAT. She's the real GWOAT.'"
Shields said she had already shared the GWOAT title with Serrano because Serrano fights in smaller weight classes. But Paul's actions crossed a line for her.
"I already had shared the title with her willingly. Already because she fought at the smaller weight classes," Shields said. "I just found it very disrespectful."
This clash shows no signs of cooling down. With both Shields and Paul being outspoken figures in boxing, fans can expect more drama between these two in the future.
