Crawford, known as "Bud" in the boxing world, is 37 years old and currently holds world champion status. He's got his sights set on becoming a five-division world champion, a feat that would cement his legacy in the sport.

On the other side of the ring, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, 34, has already made his mark. The Mexican fighter has grabbed world titles across four weight classes and became the first undisputed super middleweight champion in the four-belt era.

Canelo's journey in boxing kicked off back in 2005. He's been a force to reckon with in the super middleweight division, clinching the undisputed champion title by beating Caleb Plant in November 2021.

In his chat with The Ring Magazine, Crawford didn't hold back his admiration for Canelo:

"I've been a fan of Canelo for years. I just look at all of his fights as great. Without one, there wouldn't be another. Each fight is defining, to take you to the next level. I'm not going to dismiss any fighter he ever fought because all of them have placed him in a position that he is right now, and that is the face of boxing."

But when it comes to predicting the outcome of their potential showdown, Crawford's confidence shines through:

"A victory in Terence Crawford's favor. C'mon, man. I'm the best."

The much-talked-about fight between Crawford and Canelo is penciled in for September. It's a big deal in the boxing world, with many calling it one of the biggest fights in the sport's history. But there's a catch - it all depends on how Canelo fares against William Scull on May 3 in Riyadh, where he'll be defending his IBF super middleweight title.

Crawford, who's seen as one of the pound-for-pound greats in boxing right now, is looking at this potential fight as his chance to join the exclusive club of five-division world champions. It's a bold move that could write his name in the boxing history books.
