Teofimo Lopez took a big swing at Shakur Stevenson on social media Friday. The WBC super lightweight world champion fired back at Stevenson's post about taking control of the game.

Lopez, known as "The Takeover," didn't hold back. He called out Stevenson's fighting style, strength, and even got personal.

Shakur Stevenson is boring and makes everyone fall asleep. He's got the average strength of a 6-year-old child in the body of an adult man. He's trash and has no friends.

This brutal takedown came after Stevenson, the WBC lightweight world champion, posted on X (formerly Twitter): "Lock Kur up, it's time to take control of the game!"

Lopez, a Brooklyn native, has been making waves recently. There's talk of a big three-fight, $30 million contract with Riyadh Season. But he took time out to put "Sugar" Stevenson on blast.

Stevenson's been dealing with some heat lately. He avoided a fight with Jadier Herrera on Eddie Hearn's February 22 card, choosing Josh Padley instead when Floyd Schofield got sick and dropped out.

Now, Stevenson's got to move fast. He needs to lock in a fight with Gervonta Davis before his contract runs out. It's his best shot at a big payday in the lightweight division.

The WBC might throw another wrench in Stevenson's plans. They could order him to defend his title against Andy Cruz, the number one contender. Cruz has a similar style to Stevenson but packs more of a punch.

For now, Stevenson's set to defend his WBC belt against Josh Padley or Artem Harutyunyan. But with Lopez's verbal jabs flying, the boxing world's watching to see what happens next.
