A few days ago, the management of the World Boxing Council ordered to start negotiations on organizing a fight between Bivol and mandatory challenger for the golden-green belt David Benavides (30-0, 24 KOs). However, Al Al-Sheikh, the sponsor of the boxer's last two fights, does not want to hear about such a fight and dreams of a trilogy between Bivol and Artur Beterbiev (21-1, 20 KOs).
"I'm not interested in the Bivol-Benavides fight, and I won't take part in bidding for it. I think Bivol knows who gives him money and who doesn't. My advice to Bivol is don't hesitate because every day something can change," stated Al Al-Sheikh.
Bivol has yet to take a definite stance on his future. He only previously stated that he would "discuss his next move with his team."
