Terence Crawford will move up two weight classes to fight Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in Las Vegas this September. The bout has gotten people talking, including fellow fighter Gervonta Davis, who shared his thoughts on Crawford's motivation.

Crawford, known as 'Bud', sees this as a chance to make his mark in boxing history. He's been looking stronger lately and feels ready to take on one of the sport's biggest names.

"I want to challenge myself. Canelo's a great fighter. He's an all-time great, one of the best that came out of Mexico. I'm one of the all-time greats, I feel. Why not? Why not put it to the test? History. What do they say, big chances, big rewards. I'm looking for that big reward."

Crawford's putting on about 14 pounds for this fight. Many boxing experts think it might be too much for him to handle. Alvarez is known for his tough chin and has proven himself time and again at higher weights.

Gervonta 'Tank' Davis from Baltimore doesn't buy Crawford's story about seeking a challenge. He thinks it's all about the money. Davis, who's getting ready to defend his own world title against Lamont Roach Jr, raised some eyebrows with his comments about Crawford's recent performances.

"He needs the money. For sure. I'm telling you … He's a good fighter. I would say smaller fighters are always better than bigger fighters cause they know how to move and things like that but … Didn't he get clipped by [Yuriorkis] Gamboa? Right? How the f**k is he looking this strong over the past year? He ain't been getting clipped or nothing. That's that SNAC sh*t. I'm telling you. Y'all laugh."

Davis seems to hint that Crawford might be using something to help his performance, mentioning SNAC, Victor Conte's nutrition company. It's worth noting that Crawford and Davis don't get along personally.

The fight is set for September 13 in Las Vegas, with both camps putting the final touches on the deal. Crawford's been working hard to bulk up, while Alvarez will aim to use his size advantage.

This matchup has boxing fans excited. Crawford's skills against smaller opponents are well-known, but Alvarez presents a whole new challenge. We'll have to wait until September to see if Crawford can overcome the odds and make history.
