Keyshawn Davis, the new WBO lightweight champion, thinks Dmitry Bivol will beat Artur Beterbiev in their rematch this Saturday in Riyadh.
The two light heavyweight stars will face off again after their controversial first bout in October. Beterbiev won that fight by majority decision and became the first undisputed light heavyweight champion in the four-belt era. Many fans and experts felt Bivol deserved the win.
Davis shared his thoughts on the rematch in an interview with Fight Hub TV.
"I just feel like Bivol is gonna switch his game plan up a little bit and he's just gonna make it more clear that he won the second time."
The young champion believes Bivol won the first fight. He expects Bivol to adjust his strategy to leave no doubt this time around.
Beterbiev will likely stick to his pressure-fighting style that worked well in the first match. Bivol needs to find a way to counter that pressure more effectively to get his revenge and hand Beterbiev his first professional loss.
This rematch is part of what many are calling one of the best fight cards in boxing history. The co-main event features heavyweights Joseph Parker and Martin Bakole. Bakole stepped in to replace Daniel Dubois, who had to pull out due to illness.
Boxing fans can't wait to see if Bivol can adjust his game plan and come out on top this time, or if Beterbiev will prove his first win wasn't a fluke. The rematch promises to be an exciting battle between two of the best light heavyweights in the world.
