May 10 will determine the challenger for Lomachenko

A fight for the IBF interim lightweight belt between Raymond Muratalla (22-0, 17 KOs) and Zaur Abdullaev (20-1, 12 KOs) will take place on May 10 in San Diego, USA. This fight was previously scheduled for April.

The winner will become the official challenger for the fight with Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs), who is the International Boxing Federation champion in the weight category up to 61 kilograms. The Ukrainian will have to cross gloves with the winner of the Muratallah-Abdullayev fight no later than October.

If by that time Lomachenko does not fulfill the requirements of the International Boxing Federation, he will lose the championship belt, and the winner of the May fight will receive the status of full champion. The Ukrainian boxer last boxed in May last year.
