Malik Scott's Bold Prediction for Deontay Wilder's Future: "It All Comes Down to This"

George Fields Jan. 8, 2025, 11:10 a.m.

Wilder, known as "The Bronze Bomber," has had a rough couple of years. He used to be unbeatable, knocking out everyone he faced. But things changed after his first fight with Tyson Fury in 2018. They drew that one, even though Wilder knocked Fury down twice.

After that, Wilder lost to Fury twice more. He tried to bounce back by knocking out Robert Helenius, but then lost on points to Joseph Parker in December 2023. Things got even worse when Zhilei Zhang stopped him in June 2023.

Now, at 39 years old, Wilder wants to prove he's still got it. BLK Prime will promote his next fight, but they haven't said who he'll face yet. We'll find out this weekend. It's probably going to be an easier fight to help Wilder get his knockout power back.

Malik Scott, who used to fight Wilder but now trains him, talked to YSM Media about how important this fight is:

"Yeah, I would say so. The second half of your career, coming off two losses of two different opponents I would say yes, definitely, everything counts now at this time."

Manouk Akopyan reported that we'll get more details about the fight soon. For now, all eyes are on Wilder to see if he can get back to his knockout ways and save his career.
