All three judges scored the fight 116-112 in Usyk's favor. The victory marked Usyk's second straight win over Fury, following a split decision triumph last May in the same city.
After the fight, Fury quickly left the ring without giving an interview. Fury skipped the immediate post-fight interview but did participate in the press conference later.
Usyk stayed to speak with the media, offering his typically understated reaction:
"I win, it's good," Usyk said simply.
The new undisputed heavyweight champion went on to praise Fury's skills:
"Listen, he's a great fighter, a great opponent. It's a great 24 rounds, unbelievable 24 rounds for my career."
When asked about his continuous improvement as a fighter, Usyk joked:
"I don't know, maybe I am training, preparing well."
The 37-year-old Ukrainian credited his family for their support and dedicated the win to his mother.
After the interviews, IBF champion Daniel Dubois confronted Usyk in the ring. Usyk had vacated the IBF belt in June, which Dubois now holds. The Ukrainian accepted Dubois' calls for a fight, setting up a potential clash for full unification of the heavyweight division.
At nearly 38 years old, Usyk continues to prove he's at the top of his game. His technical skills and ring IQ were on full display against the larger Fury, cementing his place as the world's premier heavyweight.
