Jake Paul's fight with Mike Tyson in November still gets people talking, but not in a good way.
Former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew has shared his thoughts on the bout. He's got some harsh words for Paul's choice of opponents, but he's also got a few good things to say about the former YouTuber's boxing skills.
The fight went down in Texas. Paul, 27, stepped into the ring with almost 60-year-old Tyson, once known as the baddest man on the planet. It wasn't much of a contest. Tyson looked old and struggled, while Paul moved around and landed punches at will.
Bellew didn't hold back when he talked to October Red about the fight.
"I just think it's sad that Jake Paul is targeting grandads and you know what he doesn't have to do it because he isn't actually that bad. He works really hard and fair play to him but why are you targeting a grandad, mate? He's 58 years old, and a full 58 years old."
Bellew pointed out that Tyson's been through a lot in his life. He gave Paul credit for easing up during the fight.
"This is a worn-out man who has been through so much in his life and it just wasn't nice to see. The one thing I'll give Jake Paul credit for is he took his foot off the gas. He bowed at him and let him survive and I think fair play."
But Bellew couldn't get past the age difference between the two fighters.
"I just find it wrong and disturbed. That's the word for it 'disturbing'. Its disturbing to see a man fighting a grandad who's nearly double his age."
The fight stirred up some controversy. Some folks said it was scripted, but Paul said that wasn't true. People also noticed Tyson biting his glove a lot during the fight, which got some of his old pals talking.
Paul's got 11 wins and 1 loss on his record now. His only defeat came against Tommy Fury. While he's shown he can box, picking fights with older opponents like Tyson has left a bad taste in many people's mouths.
