Having defeated Mike Tyson, who is approaching his sixtieth birthday, and achieved great commercial success, the former blogger has become a dainty target for other professional boxers. Since he is, at best, an average boxer, but capable of making money like no other. Therefore, with isolated exceptions, the A side in the negotiations will be him and not his pro opponent.

"Jake would like to face Dubois someday, but right now he's looking for another option. He told me, 'Someday I'll fight Dubois, but first I want to be a world champion at featherweight.' It's not about money anymore because he has a lot of it, he wants to achieve something that will shock others," said Nakisa Bidarian, Paul's manager.
