Brown, from Manchester, will train under Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis at the V.I.P Gym in Astley. His now Matchroom colleagues Jack Catterall, Cameron Vuong and Conner Tudsbury already train at the gym.
Under the tutelage of Sam Jones, Brown secured his place at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris by defeating Poland's Mateusz Berenicki in March this year. He left the games in the first round losing to Pan American Games and World Championship silver medalist Keno Machado of Brazil.
"Since we first met Eddie and Frank, it was clear that our views were the same," Brown said. - Matchroom was always my first choice, but I needed to weigh my options. After some really exciting discussions about the future, it became obvious that I was choosing them."
"They are at the top of boxing and have a great team of fighters and I'm excited to be the next generation to dominate for the next decade. I believe I have the best team around me in Eddie and Frank to help me achieve what I want to achieve. There are some great fights to be made and I've always dreamed of selling out arenas, bringing the days of Ricky Hatton back to Manchester. That's something that always gets me excited. I'd like to do some good wars and some good boxing fights," stated Pat Brown.
