The 58-year-old Tyson faced off against the 27-year-old Paul in an eight-round bout that got people talking. Tyson looked good for about a minute, but then his age started to show. The younger Paul cruised through the rest of the fight.

Many fans called the event sad and in bad taste. But Tyson didn't get hurt like some worried he might.

De La Hoya shared his thoughts on the fight:

"Everybody is talking about how staged this fight was. I do believe it was scripted and I believe that Tyson was certainly held back. Look, I'm a fighter and I can see it. It goes on their record and it was sanctioned. Jake Paul paid to get the W on his record! For what? For your own personal satisfaction? I keep telling you, if you want to be a real fighter like you say you want to be, what are you doing? Who's next? Joe Biden? You have to fight real fighters."

The promotion strongly denied claims that the fight was scripted. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation sanctioned the bout, which got a lot of betting interest.

Even though De La Hoya criticized the main event, he praised the record-breaking business side of the event. The fight reached 65 million households and an estimated 200 million viewers.

De La Hoya also pointed out the undercard as a highlight:

"The real winners were Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor, who put on an incredible real fight and we're introduced to new fans around the world."

After the fight, Tyson said he won't step into the ring again. Paul now has an 11-1 pro record and has been called out by some big names in boxing.

The event stirred up controversy, but it certainly got people talking about boxing.
