Errol Spence Reveals Surprising Take on Crawford's Power: "I Didn't Expect That"

Crawford's been on a roll lately. He beat Errol Spence Jr. and became the undisputed welterweight champion. That win put him at the top of most pound-for-pound lists. Then he moved up to 154 pounds and beat Israil Madrimov on points. But some people wondered if his power would be as effective at higher weights.

Now, Crawford's looking at super-middleweight. He'd need to gain 14 pounds to fight Canelo there. Canelo wasn't interested at first, but now he says he'll think about any offers. He's worried he won't get much credit for beating a smaller guy.

If the Canelo fight doesn't happen, some think Crawford might hang up his gloves. But his old rival, Errol Spence Jr., is backing him to do well against Canelo.

"If anybody can pull it off he can pull it off. Don't know if he's going to win or lose, but I'll be going for 'Bud'."

Spence also talked about Crawford's power when they fought:

"He's a strong dude. I think it was more so in the first, second round. But everybody at this level got some type of power. I think it was more so my timing was off and I was getting caught in between shots."

Crawford, known as "Bud", comes from Omaha and can switch between orthodox and southpaw stances. He's won all his 40 fights so far, with 31 knockouts. He's already a four-weight world champion.

Canelo holds three of the four major belts at super-middleweight. If Crawford can beat him, it'd be a huge achievement. But for now, we'll have to wait and see if this fight actually happens.
