Anthony Joshua's Next Move Stuns Veteran Promoter: "I've Never Seen Anything Like It"

Anthony Joshua's next move has become a hot topic after Daniel Dubois knocked him out in the fifth round of their IBF heavyweight title fight in September.

While Joshua might want to jump right back in for a rematch, top promoter Bob Arum doesn't think that's a smart move. In a recent chat with BoxNation, Arum shared his thoughts on AJ's future.

"Does Joshua have any ability to reach the highest level again? That remains to be seen. I think he is very vulnerable."

Arum didn't stop there. When asked if he thought Dubois would stop Joshua again in a rematch, he didn't hold back:

"Oh yeah [I think Dubois would stop him again]. I think the silliest thing for Joshua would be for him to fight Dubois again."

Instead of a rematch with Joshua, Arum suggests Dubois should set his sights on bigger fish. He thinks the new champ should go after whoever wins the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk rematch in December.

"That fight makes the most sense. And it does no matter who wins between Usyk and Fury. If Fury wins, it is a fight that would do massively well in the UK where it belongs in Wembley Stadium."

Arum pointed out that even if Usyk beats Fury again, a fight with Dubois would still be huge:

"If Usyk wins again against Fury, based on the controversy on their last fight, I think it would be a massive, massive fight. If I'm drawing everything up which I'm not, I think that's the fight where Dubois should fight the winner of Usyk Fury."

While Arum seems to have written off Joshua, there's talk that AJ might still push for that immediate rematch with Dubois. And interestingly, Tyson Fury still believes he'll face Joshua in a grudge match someday, even after AJ's recent loss.

The heavyweight division is buzzing with possibilities. Will Joshua risk another fight with Dubois? Will Dubois aim for the Fury-Usyk winner? The next few months should give us some answers.
