Jarrell Miller Challenges Boxing Legend to Final Showdown: "It's Time"

None

Jarrell Miller wants to fight Derek Chisora. The heavyweight boxer, known as "Big Baby," has set his sights on a bout with the veteran British fighter, possibly in December.

Miller's career has been a rollercoaster. In 2019, he lost a big opportunity to fight Anthony Joshua after failing drug tests. The following year, his comeback attempt with Top Rank fell through for the same reason. He failed another drug test before a scheduled fight with Jerry Forrest.

Since then, Miller has fought his way back into contention. He won fights against Ariel Bracamonte, Derek Cardenas, and Lucas Browne. In his last two outings, he was stopped by Daniel Dubois in the 10th round and fought to a majority draw with Andy Ruiz Jr in August. Many observers thought Miller had done enough to win that fight.

Now, Miller has earned a spot on a lucrative Riyadh Season card. He's aiming to make the most of it by calling out Chisora. In an interview with IFL TV, Miller said:

"Yo Chisora, what up Baby? Chisora, looking good against Joe Joyce. What's up man? We got December coming up on Tyson Fury's undercard. Let's get it on baby. I would love to retire you. It would be my honour and my pleasure to retire your old ass."

Chisora, who's in the final days of his long career, is coming off a great win over Joe Joyce. He's only looking for the biggest fights possible at this stage. Miller's profile might fit the bill, but Chisora has other options too. Deontay Wilder's team has mentioned Chisora as a potential comeback opponent after Wilder's back-to-back defeats to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.

The ball's now in Chisora's court. Will he take up Miller's challenge? Or will he hold out for an even bigger name? Boxing fans will have to wait and see.
