Mike Tyson Picks Clear Winner for Davis-Stevenson Bout: "The Gap is Enormous"

Mike Tyson thinks Gervonta Davis will beat Shakur Stevenson if they fight. The former heavyweight champ shared his thoughts on the 'It is what it is' podcast recently.

"Wow, that's a good fight. I like to go with Tank. Everyone's gonna go with Tank, but it would be a very interesting fight," Tyson said.

Tyson, known as 'Iron' Mike during his fighting days, believes Davis is just too good right now. He called the lightweight world champion "a monster" and said he's "so superior" to other fighters.

"Tank is just a monster right now."

But Tyson didn't dismiss Stevenson completely. He praised the undefeated champion's skills and toughness.

"Shakur takes a good shot, he's a specialist. That's why there are some fights that he doesn't look good in, because he's so superior. It's boring watching sometimes, but he knows what he's doing."

Tyson thinks Davis' aggressive style could bring out the best in Stevenson. "To bring out the best in Shakur you gotta pressure him like Tank and we'll see a great fight," he said.

The fight between Davis and Stevenson could be one of the biggest in boxing. Both fighters are world champions and haven't lost a fight yet. Davis is known for his calculated, stalking style and powerful punches. Some have even compared his ferocity to a young Mike Tyson. Stevenson, on the other hand, is an elite mover with great defense.

Right now, the fight is just talk. Stevenson plans to fight William Zepeda in February after recovering from hand surgery. He wants to face Davis in 2025. Davis has his own fight coming up in December against Lamont Roach.

Boxing fans will have to wait to see if Tyson's prediction comes true. But one thing's for sure – if Davis and Stevenson do meet in the ring, it'll be a fight worth watching.
