Tony Yoka (13-3, 11 KOs), the Olympic heavyweight champion from Rio 2016, is trying to rebuild his career after several embarrassing defeats and continue his journey to the top. Not too long ago, the Frenchman struck up a relationship with trainer Don Charles, who is known for working with heavyweights including Joshua (previously), Chisora (previously) and Dubois (now). So far, Joka has significantly lowered the level of his opponents to regain his confidence.

Yesterday, September 7, in Swindon, UK, he faced local boxer Lama Griggs (3-8-1), an average but tough boxer who had not lost early before. In a fight scheduled for six rounds, Yoka focused on body punches at first, and was able to shake his opponent with a right hook in the second three minutes. When Yoka landed another accurate right uppercut, the referee decided to intervene, saving Griggs from a hard knockout.
