Is Crawford going to end his career?

Eddie Hearn wondered whether Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) could end his career in the near future. A month ago, the outstanding American defeated Israil Madrimov (10-1-1, 7 KOs), won the WBA featherweight belt and thus became the world champion in his fourth weight class.

"Bud" has been demanding a fight with Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs), the king of the super middleweight division, lately, but the latter is not burning for such a fight just yet. At least not at the moment.

"Crawford has made very good money and I don't think he's going to fight yet. In my opinion, he won't be interested in a fight with Virgil Ortiz or Jaron Ennis. He's used to big fees and only wants to fight Canelo. Today he's probably convinced he'll fight again, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the fight with Madrimov was the last fight of his professional career. He will probably wait for the Canelo fight idly," said the British promoter, head of Matchroom Boxing.
