Antonio Tarver Weighs In On Gervonta Davis-Shakur Stevenson: "One Fighter Is Unmatched"

None

Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson are getting ready for a big fight in the future. These two unbeaten lightweight champs might face off in what could be the biggest match in boxing.

Davis has made a name for himself with his strong punches and smart fighting style. He's known for dominating his opponents in the ring. You can see some of Davis' best knockouts online.

On the other hand, Stevenson is hard to hit. He moves around the ring so well that he gets hit less than any other world champ right now. But some fans say his last two fights weren't very exciting to watch.

Antonio Tarver, who used to be a light-heavyweight world champ, thinks Davis will win if they fight. He told Pro Boxing Fans:

"That's a tough fight, man. It's a chess match to say the least. You got power, you got technique. You got a guy that got some of the best feet in the game and you got a guy like Gervonta whose energy is unmatched in the ring. When I look at that fight I don't see Shakur moving enough to avoid Tank Davis all night. I think Tank's IQ in the ring will allow him to cut the ring off and get to Shakur."

Tarver thinks Davis will force Stevenson to fight in a way we haven't seen before. He also said:

"His fights just don't have the excitement as a Tank Davis fight, but that don't mean they can't make an exciting fight together. We know these are the two top tier fighters in their weight class."

Right now, Stevenson has signed a new deal with Matchroom. He'll fight Joe Cordina on October 12. After that, he wants to take on William Zepeda before finally facing Davis.

This fight will be huge if both boxers keep winning. Fans can't wait to see how Stevenson's defense holds up against Davis' power.
