Ennis' trainer responded to whether Bogachuk was robbed in the fight with Ortiz

Derek Ennis, father and trainer of IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis, believes that you can't call Virgil Ortiz's win against Sergey Bogachuk a robbery.

"I wouldn't call it a robbery at all. It was a very close fight. I think the two knockdowns did the trick for Bogachuk. But Ortiz closed the show, he started taking all the last rounds. Virgil was taking damage, but he was coming back. And he was angry when he went down, he came back powerfully. So that round was a tough round too.

It was a very good and close fight. I enjoyed that fight. But like I said, two knockdowns had to do the job," Ennis said in an interview with YouTube channel YSM Sports Media.

Recall that on August 10, Ortiz defeated Bogachuk by majority decision of the judges (113-113, 114-112, 114-112).
