Authoritative American trainer Teddy Atlas believes that WBA featherweight champion Terence Crawford is confident of beating Israil Madrimov.
"Here's my judge's card - 116-112. I know people are going to want to kill me over it, but I really don't care. In detail, there were a lot of close rounds. I counted 116-112, but it could have been 115-113.
I believe Crawford won this fight and did so clearly. Over the course of the fight he did what he had to do. Terence did what he needed to do when he realized the level of this guy, his ability and how good he really is. Madrimov wasn't reckless, he wasn't an elephant in a china shop, as Crawford deals with elephants in a china shop. But this guy was smart, confident, maintained control. Neither of them could make a mistake," Atlas said.
Recall that on August 3, Crawford defeated Madrimov by unanimous decision of judges and won the WBA light middleweight title.
