Sosnowski commented on Khizhnyak's victory over Akilov

Head coach of the Ukrainian national boxing team Dmytro Sosnovsky expressed his opinion about the last fight in the weight up to 80 kg between Oleksandr Khizhnyak and Filipp Akilov.

Yesterday, July 30, the Ukrainian defeated the representative of Hungary by a split decision in the opening fight at the OI-2024.

"The fight should be analyzed. I will review it several times now, my father (Khizhnyak, - note) will review it. Some things were good. Sasha is Sasha, he has his own style of fighting and he fights like that.

Some things succeeded, some things failed, we need to analyze. We have to try, but he has objective reasons for that - he has a big break," - said Sosnovsky.

Recall that in the quarterfinals of the tournament Khizhnyak will share the ring with Brazilian Wanderlei de Souza.
