British super heavyweight Daniel Dubois, who yesterday was promoted to full IBF world champion, commented on the organization of the fight against prominent compatriot Anthony Joshua.
"I would like to win and get people's attention. Was I worried about Usyk retaining the title? Not really, not really. These are formalities, if you win, you get titles. Belts are great, but such fights are comparable in status to championship fights.
I have good memories of my time in the [amateur] UK team. I was young, I was 17 years old and it was a good journey. Then I realized that Joshua is a great champion, but everything has an end, and I'm here to accept the baton and the throne," said Dubois at the press conference.
Recall, the fight Dubois - Joshua will take place on September 21 in London.
