Renowned American trainer Robert Garcia said he believes WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis is the favorite in a potential fight against IBF titleholder Vasyl Lomachenko.
"I think five or six years ago I would have picked Lomachenko right away. Now it can be very difficult. Considering his age and size, because Lomachenko is not the biggest lightweight, I have to favor 'Tank'. He just has incredible power.
But Lomachenko has great skills. Loma is a fighter who won't be afraid of him, he'll be in great shape. So if Lomachenko fights intelligently, if he knows how to win the first few rounds, and then he fights the rest of the rounds intelligently, there's a chance he'll drag this fight out. Loma is a very smart guy, but I think Davis' power will be beyond him," Garcia said in an interview with Fight Hub TV YouTube channel.
