Jones gave advice to Reyes

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is advising his former opponent Dominick Reyes to accept the loss in their fight and move on with his life.

In 2020, Jones defeated Reyes by controversial decision and retained his then-heavyweight division title. That result remains one of the most talked about in UFC history, as many felt the challenger had done enough to win. Four years later, Reyes still considers himself a legitimate winner, a fact he states repeatedly in interviews.

On Tuesday, Jones couldn't take it anymore and decided to address his compatriot via social media:

"Dominick, when you think back to our fight, I don't want you to ever question me or the judges. Look at your heart, your resilience: you didn't do enough. The sooner you realize and accept that, the better athlete you will be," Jones wrote in X.
