Andriy Novitskiy, Ukrainian super heavyweight boxer, told about sparring with Chinese super heavyweight Zhang Zhilei.

"When we started to work with him like this, it turned out that he both misses jabs and on the body. This tactic worked so well that somewhere near the end of the 2nd round we started to take the initiative. After that, the whole camp of Zhilei wanted to work with me the most. Because I was giving him maximum work. He's a good boxer. He's a punching boxer. He's a good counter puncher. But he counter when you make mistakes. Zhilei gets a little tired after about four to six rounds. But, again, he only gets tired if you hit him. You can't "stroke" him. If he feels those punches, he'll start to get tired little by little and miss. That's roughly how it works. We actually had such a mutually tight work - both of us hit, both of us missed. But I also sparred with those who hit harder.
