Zhilei: "Don't write Wilder off."

Former interim WBO heavyweight champion Zhang Zhilei made a statement after defeating former WBC full titleholder Deontay Wilder.

The Chinese knocked out the American in the fifth round in the main event of an evening of boxing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 1.

"Goodbye Saudi Arabia. It's always great to fight here. The world is watching the kingdom now becoming the center of boxing. I express my gratitude to my dance partner Deontay Wilder. I have always respected you as a man, a father and a warrior. In our fight, I felt your power that can knock out anyone. I'm glad we both left the ring safe and sound. Go back to your family and enjoy your time together. Boxing is great with Deontay Wilder. Don't write him off," Zhilei wrote on Instagram.
